    • 1.1. What is NST/BH/HM ePaper?

      The NST/BH/HM ePaper is a digital replica of NST/BH/HM newspaper printed edition. It is not a website but a digital reproduction of NST/BH/HM page by page.
    • 1.2. What content is available in NST/BH/HM ePaper?

      You will receive exactly the same content as the printed edition of your subscribed or purchased copy.
    • 1.3. How are the ePapers different from the NST, BH and HM tablet apps?

      The previously-launched tablet apps have selective news articles from the main papers. The new ePaper is the entire paper in electronic format.
    • 1.4. NST/BH/HM ePaper includes:

      • - NST/BH/HM Main Paper
      • - 1klassifieds
      • - Life & Times, Rap, B-Pop, n etc
    • 1.5. Can I access previous issues?

      Yes, you can access previous issues of up to 30 days as long as you have an active ePaper subscriber account.
    • 1.6. How about more than 30 days?

      Issues that are more than 30 days old are available at www.nib.com.my (Terms and Conditions applicable).
    • 1.7 How do I get the ePaper? Do I have to pay?

      You can purchase the NST/BH/HM ePaper here by subscribing to the NST/BH/HM bundle package or simply subscribe to the ePaper alone.
    • 1.8 What is NST/BH/HM newspaper & ePaper Bundle?

      NST/BH/HM newspaper & ePaper Bundle is a subscription package that allows you to receive the newspapers in print and digital format (ePaper). Regional subscribers will get their respective regional papers and the option to download the national as well as regional versions of the ePaper.
    • 1.9 Is the NST/BH/HM newspaper & ePaper available nationwide?

      Yes, this bundle promotion is available nationwide, subject to the availability of vendors. In areas where there are no dedicated vendors for print, this bundling promotion is not applicable and you will need to subscribe to the ePaper-only subscription.
    • 1.10 I have already paid the subscription for home delivery of only the newspaper. Do I get the ePaper for free?

      No, the print and ePaper subscriptions are separate. However, you could subscribe to both with newspaper & ePaper Bundle promotion package or
      simply add-on to your subscription with the ePaper-only package. The details are in the 2. Subscription Sign-Up section of this FAQ.
    • 1.11 What is the Newspaper & ePaper Bundle promotion, or the Bundle?

      The Bundle is a promotion for everyone to get both the print and ePaper versions at a special price for a limited three-month duration ending Sept 30th, 2012.
    • 1.12 Does the Bundle subscription include newspaper delivery fee?

      No, the delivery fee is not included in the package. The delivery fee will apply as usual, to be paid directly to your news vendor.
    • 1.13 What is the frequency of issues?

      Daily, except on Press holidays during festive seasons - Chinese New Year, Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Christmas and Deepavali) when there’s no publication the next working day. Normally, an announcement will be made in the newspaper as dates are not set.
    • 1.14 Why do I receive less than 365 copies of NSTP products for a 1-Year subscription?

      There are four Press holidays in a year when the newspaper is not published. So the 361 copies in a 1-Year subscription take into account the press holidays.
    • 1.15 How many devices can I access concurrently? Can I download it as PDF?

      Three different devices. The "Download as PDF" feature is currently not available.
    • 1.16 I am currently subscribing to the print newspaper only and directly with NSTP. How do I subscribe to the Bundle?

      Please call the Customer Service Hotline at 1300 22 6787 from 9am to 9pm on subscription matter. The Front Line Personnel will direct you to the relevant departments.

    • 2.2.1 Via in-app purchase

      Log in to the respective app stores for Apple or Android using your iTunes or Google Play (Android) accounts and simply follow the step-by-step instructions to purchase the NST/BH/HM ePaper.

    3.1 How do I pay for my subscription?

    • 3.1.1 Self-Service – Online

      You can make payment online at http://subscription.nstp.com.my Here are the accepted methods of payment:
      • Cheque, Money Order & Postal Order
        It should be made out to 'New Straits Times Press (M) Berhad', attached with a completed subscription form and mailed to/dropped at NSTP Headquarters or our respective regional offices
      • o Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard & AMEX)
      • e-Banking (Maybank2U, AllianceOnline, Hong Leong Online and RHB online bank transfers)
      • e-Cash (MEPS Cash and Web Cash)
    • 3.1.2 Manual – At the Customer Service Center / HQ or Regional Branches.

      • Credit/Debit Card (Visa or MasterCard) payment
        You will need to acknowledge consent by signing the Subscription Form (containing the details of Name of Credit Card Holder, Name of Issuing Bank, Card Expiry Date MM/YYYY) in order for us to charge the payment to your credit card. Subscription will not commence until payment is processed.
      • Cash payment
        You can only drop your cash payment personally at New Straits Times Press (M) Berhad Headquarters or at our respective regional offices (see listing of addresses below). It should be handed to the specific person-in-charge. You will get a receipt on the spot from the person-in-charge when you pay by cash. Please do not send cash by post. Subscription will not commence until payment is processed.

    • 3.1.3 Manual – Promotion Booth at NSTP Events

      Only cash payment will be accepted at our promotion booth. You will get a receipt on the spot when you pay by cash.
  • 3.2 Will I be issued a receipt for the subscription?

    If you subscribe online at http://subscription.nstp.com.my an electronic receipt will be emailed to your registered email address. You can also print a receipt online. Simply log in to your account at http://subscription.nstp.com.my and go to My Account>Payment History. If you subscribe by cash or cheque, you will receive the receipt by post (upon request at point of sign-up only).
  • SUBSCRIPTION DELIVER

    • 4.1 When can I get my print newspaper?

      For print it takes 4-10 working days to process the subscription order (including appointment of newspaper vendor, payment and fulfillment processing).
    • 4.2 How soon will I get the ePaper after I place my order?

      ePaper activation will be within 48 hours for cash payment, money order, postal order. Other mode of payments will depend on the success of the payment transaction.
    • 4.3 What should I do if I do not receive the newspaper on the commencement date?

      Please call our Customer Service Number at 03- 2056 7020 or 03- 2056 7021 or email: subscribe@nstp.com.my to inform us within 2 working days from the subscription commencement date if you have not received the newspaper.

    • 4.4 When can I access NST/BH/HM ePaper?

      You can access NST/BH/HM ePaper upon successful creation and activation of your Username and Password.

      For payment by cash, cheque and credit card (not done online), you will receive an email with your login account and password 3 working days after payment is received and cleared.
    • 4.5 What is the expiry date of my Bundle subscription when the delivery of the first newspaper takes up to
      2 weeks and ePaper 3 days?

      The expiry date of your Bundle subscription will follow your newspaper delivery. A 1-Year package entitles you to 361 copies. The actual commencement date of your subscription is the day when the first newspaper is delivered. The ePaper access before the first newspaper delivery will be at no cost to you and will expire on the same date as your last newspaper delivery.
    • 4.6 If I need to go overseas for a short period of time, can I suspend my Bundle subscription temporarily?

      Yes. Please notify your news vendor to stop delivering the newspaper while you are away. However, you will not get an extension on your subscription expiry date for your missed issues and will not receive any refund from your vendor.

      If you give a two-week notification to the circulation department prior to the suspension date, then you will get a 2-week extension.

      For the ePaper portion of the Bundle, there is no suspension feature. You can continue to read or download your newspaper while you are away. Alternatively, you can have access to the past issues of the ePaper for up to 30 days
    • 4.7 Why am I not receiving any confirmation email after successfully subscribing for the Bundle?

      he confirmation email for your subscription might have gone into your spam or junk email folder. Please check your spam or junk email folder as well. If it is confirmed that you did not receive any confirmation email, please call our Customer Service Number at 03-2056 7020 or 03 – 2056 7021 or email: subscribe@nstp.com.my for assistance.

  • SUBSCRIPTION EXPIRY AND RENEWAL

    • 5.1 What happens when my Bundle subscription is about to expire?

      There is no automatic renewal for The Bundle subscription as it is a limited promotion. We will send you two renewal notices by post and email, two months and one month respectively, prior to your subscription's expiry date. We will advise you on the changes to the subscription plan, if any, in the renewal notice.'
    • 5.2 What happens when the existing subscription expires?

      If you subscribe by cash or cheque, you will receive a renewal reminder notice prior to the expiry of your subscription via e-mail. Reminders only apply for 6-month and 12-month packages. Simply complete and return the renewal notice two weeks before your subscription expires in order for us to process your renewal. However, there will be an administrative fee of RM10 for processing your renewal. We strongly encourage you to subscribe online at http://subscription.nstp.com.my.
    • 5.3 How do I cancel my subscription?

      You can cancel subscription at any point by sending an email to our Customer Service at subscribe@nstp.com.my. The cancellation process shall take at least five working days. For subscription plan nearing expiry, please email cancellation request at least five working days before expiry date if you do not wish to have your subscription automatically renewed.
    • 5.4 Do I get a refund if I terminate before my subscription expires?

      Subscription is charged to your account for the full duration of the specified term. There will be no refund for early termination.
  • SUBSCRIPTION DELIVERY

    • 6.1 When can I start accessing the NST/BH/HM ePaper?

      You can start accessing NST/BH/HM ePaper immediately once you have successfully completed the sign-up process through the website http://subscription.nstp.com.my. For subscription where payment is not made online (i.e.by cash or cheque), we will send you an email with your login account and password three working days after your payment is received and cleared.
    • 6.2 When will new issues be available?

      New issues are available from 6 am Malaysian time on every publication day.
    • 6.3 Why am I not receiving any confirmation email after successfully registering an account?

      The confirmation email for registration might have gone into your spam or junk email folder. Please check your spam or junk email folder as well. If it is confirmed that you did not receive any confirmation email, please call our Customer Service No at 03-2056 7020 or 03–2056 7021 for assistance. The new Customer Service Hotline 1300 22 6787 will start on June 15 2012.
